Acer expected to launch 7 and 10-inch tablets by mid 2011

Acer expected to launch 7 and 10-inch tablets by mid 2011: "

Not to be left out of the tablet craze that is sweeping the electronics industry, Acer is slated to debut two or three Android powered tablets by the middle of this year. Acer has stated that these tablets, coming in both 7 and 10-inch models, are designed to gradually replace their aging netbook lineup, and will run on Intel’s Sandy Bridge processors and be powered by Android.

The company has not released any information about pricing or projected sales figures, and although it was announced back in November that these devices would run Froyo, there is also the possibility they will be instead shipping with the new tablet friendly Honeycomb.  Perhaps more specifics will be revealed at next month’s Mobile World Congress, so be sure to check back for more details as they become available.
